Soccer 2009 Transformers

"More than meets the eye!" Bradley's playing soccer again. His team is the Transformers. They started out as the Spidermen, but being typical 4 year olds, they like to change their mind. They all think they're Optimus Prime now with the blue/red uniforms. He's doing great this year!! We have our 3rd game tomorrow, but he's been getting about 3 goals each game. Watching from the bench.

He's getting toooo big. I can't believe he's going to be 5 soon.

TeeBall!

Bradley started playing tee-ball a few weeks ago and had his first game last Saturday. He has practice once a week and then the weekly games. It's a little hectic right now because he's still in soccer for the next few weeks and we have to do a quick change to get to the soccer game after tee-ball. (I can't imagine what it's going to be like when Jake starts playing sports too!) But he has so much fun! It's fun to watch John as the tee-ball coach too. He gets all the little 3-4 year olds in their ready position and learning all the basics. Here's Jake and Bradley climbing the backstop with Grandma Flowers.

Happy Birthday Jake!

Our little Jakers is one year old! We had a small party for him on Saturday and he LOVED his cake. Really, he loved the frosting on his cake. I'll try to get some pics up soon.

No training wheels!

We took the training wheels off Bradley's bike a few weeks ago. He's so big!! But it's taken me forever to get the pics up. So here ya go! We made him wear the knee/elbow pads for awhile a few weeks ago, but not since. He just wants to get the helmet on and get out of the garage as fast as possible. Besides, the worst time he fell (because he was wiggling the wheel), he cut his chin and there were no pads there anyway.

Jakers is 11 months!

Well, he was actually 11 months about 2 weeks ago, but you know we're slow at our blog sometimes. About a half a second after the picture, he crawled away. He's really fast and is starting to take more steps. Usually he does about 3-5 steps before he drops down, but John saw him walk about 10 feet this afternoon.

It's soccer season again!

Bradley had his first soccer game of this year and WOW! So much better than last year. Last year, he loved the practice, but played probably only one quarter of a game and sat on the sidelines for the rest of the time. This morning he scored 4 goals and had a blast! He's really good at keeping himself between the ball and other players. But we need to get him to pass more.

Snack time after the game. Michael, our next door neighbor is on the same team, which is cool. They were passing to each other a little and highfiving when they scored. I also got B a slushie from the concession stand after this was taken. Bad Momma - it was about 9 in the morning and I bought him a slushie. LOL

The last two from the practice time. They do a half hour of practice, then go straight into the game. His team is called the Red Rockets.

Some Halloween Cuteness

Doesn't everyone have matching jammies? I really try not to match them during the day (really not a issue anyway because Jake wears all of Bradley'sold clothes anyway), but we got these from a friend and Bradley really enjoyed being Jake's twin.

It was that time again to take another picture of Jake and his bear. He's getting so big, and way too fast!

Last Day

Sorry for the multitude of posts, but it was just easier to post them this way! Anyway, before we left California, we took a trip to the beach one last time. Be sure to check out the days before this one too with the previous four posts.

Another Day Hanging In Huntington Beach

Luckily, we had another day to hang out with the California family and have some more fun. The U.S. Open Surfing Championships was going on while we were there and we walked around and had some more fun there and even took a dip in a pool. I would also say that Bradley is hooked on California and is already learning some moves from his cousins!

Hey, I was on this trip after all!

Beach Day

Our third day was spent lounging around at Jacqui's brother Jon's house and hanging out at the beach. We had a great time and we always love hanging out with Brian, Megan, Lauren, and of course Uncle Jon. Thanks again guys!

U.S.S. Midway

The next day we had time to kill in San Diego before heading up to Hungtington Beach, so we spent some time on the U.S.S. Midway at Navy Pier. The U.S.S. Midway was built in September of 1945 just after Japan surrendered, but it served about 47 years in the U.S. Navy. Here are some pics of us on the carrier.
